TrendMD graduates from Ycombinator and announces new partnerships

It’s been a busy quarter for UTEST company TrendMD. Fresh off their participation in Ycombinator’s Winter 2016 cohort, which was covered in TechCrunch, the company has announced partnerships with HighWire and Integra. TrendMD, a Canadian start-up company, is a content recommendation engine for scholarly publishers. They work with over 2,000 medical journals by organizing and tailoring information to the appropriate audiences. Minuum launches iOS 8 keyboard, expanding product to Apple users

Whirlscape, a graduate of the UTEST program's first cohort (co-managed by MaRS Innovation and the University of Toronto), has launched their little keyboard for big fingers to Apple users. The software, released to coincide with Apple's iOS 8 launch, is part of Whirlscape's larger efforts to develop typing solutions for wearable devices, including smartwatches, Google Glass and other applications. Whirlscape releases Minuum version 2.11, teases for iOS 8 launch

Whirlscape, graduates of the UTEST program, made tech headlines last week by releasing a teaser of Minuum, their one-line, mobile keyboard for wearable devices, running on an iPhone. Y Combinator-backed Whirlscape closes $500,000 seed funding round

Minuum keyboard creators accelerate wearable device input technology development TORONTO, Canada (February 6, 2014) — Whirlscape Inc., creators of Minuum, “the little keyboard for big fingers,” have closed an investment seed round for just over $500,000 (USD). Whirlscape releases Minuum demo on a Smart Watch

Whirlscape continues to build momentum for the Minuum keyboard. On January 21, the UTEST grad launched a demo of their keyboard on a Galaxy Gear Smart Watch. The remarkably accurate keyboard that encourages sloppy typing for smartphones and wearable technology uses a disambiguation algorithm to make sense of any letter combination, so it's been proven perfect for big fingers.
