Hao Li is Senior Analyst, Venture Development at TIAP, where he works with researchers and clinician-scientists across TIAP’s Member Institutions to identify, evaluate, and advance early-stage health science technologies. Hao brings a background spanning venture investment, early-stage operations, and translational neuroscience.
Prior to TIAP, Hao was a Consultant at the Centre for Aging and Brain Health Innovation (CABHI), where he assessed trial design, endpoint credibility, and regulatory pathway alongside financial models and market sizing for early-stage healthcare and deep-tech ventures. Hao has also operated from the venture side. He co-founded MeowSprout, a neuro-cognitive digital therapeutic company, where as Chief Operating Officer he led product development and fundraising from inception, and established the Innovation OnBoard at University of Toronto, connecting graduate researchers to Creative Destruction Lab, H2i, and other incubators. These allow him to bring direct operating experience of the problems facing the founders he now works alongside.
Hao holds a PhD in Medical Biophysics from the University of Toronto, with research conducted at The Hospital for Sick Children and the Wellcome Centre for Integrative Neuroimaging at the University of Oxford, and a BSc in Optical and Electronic Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology.
