Mobeen Lalani joined TIAP in 2023 as a Venture Builder Analyst specializing in Technology and Venture Development. His role involves identifying and evaluating new technology opportunities for TIAP’s investment portfolio and venture builder program. Mobeen’s role focuses on performing due diligence, researching market opportunities, and developing technology advancement plans to support TIAP’s venture project within digital health and medical device commercialization.
Prior to TIAP, Mobeen worked at a DTC telehealth technology startup as a sales and business development leader, working closely with top pharmaceutical companies and health and wellness brands across Canada and the US. Mobeen has had experience working in healthcare innovation and strategy for Canada’s leading pharmacy retailer and supporting the development of health data transformation strategies in primary care. In his academic work, Mobeen was chosen by the Dalla Lana School of Public Health as one of six AI trainees to examine AI in healthcare use cases in times of social and political unrest with the AI for Good Foundation. Mobeen was recently awarded the 2023 Emerging Leader Award from Digital Health Canada.
Mobeen holds a Master of Health Informatics and a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology and Population Health from the University of Toronto and a certificate in Health Law and AI in Healthcare from the University of Ottawa.
