Conal Slobodin is a strategic government relations professional, with more than a decade of experience in government relations and public policy.He is currently a Vice President at Crestview Strategy, Canada’s largest government relations and communications consulting firm. His previous experience includes leading federal and Ontario government relations at Walmart Canada and working in the federal government.
As a government relations professional, Conal is experienced in the development and execution of integrated government and stakeholder relations strategies across various sectors with a focus on advancing business interests through legislative, regulatory, and policy changes, funding partnerships, and profile-building initiatives. In the past he led successful engagements to amend the Criminal Code of Canada, secure federal funding for COVID-19 vaccines and therapeutics, and attract foreign direct investment.
Conal was named one of Ottawa’s “Forty Under 40” by the Ottawa Business Journal and the Ottawa Board of Trade, as well as an “Emerging Leader” in politics and government by The Peak in 2024. In addition to Toronto Innovation Acceleration Partners, he sits on the board of Katimavik Youth Services.
