Prior to joining TIAP, Angela worked at two institutional strategic initiatives at the University of Toronto: Medicine by Design and the Precision Medicine Initiative (PRiME). In these roles, she developed and managed funding and training programs aimed at creating convergence between scientists, engineers, and clinicians to advance research in regenerative and precision medicine. She also previously worked as an independent consultant for Turnstone Biologics, assisting with technical and regulatory writing, as well as conducting literature reviews and analyzing data to support pre-clinical research teams.
Angela has been active in engaging the public and other stakeholders in science, serving as the Managing Editor of the Royal Canadian Institute for Science (RCIScience) and previously co-chairing the Program Committee for the Canadian Science Policy Centre (CSPC).
Angela holds a PhD in Immunology from the University of Toronto, with expertise in T cell biology and viral infections. She also has a BSc in Physiology and Immunology from the University of Toronto.
