As part of Ontario’s Critical Technologies initiative, TIAP is pleased to be partnering with OBIO® to offer new support to accelerate the health science industry’s use of cutting-edge technologies.
OBIO’s Life Sciences Critical Technologies & Commercialization (LSCTC) Centre of Excellence provides infrastructure, commercialization, technology adoption and talent programming to Ontario SMEs and emerging technologies to advance innovative made-in-Ontario ventures utilizing critical technologies. TIAP is a proud partner of the LSCTC Centre and is responsible for delivering its ‘De-Risking of Emerging Technologies and Venture Creation’ funding stream.
As TIAP specializes in venture building whereas OBIO specializes in supporting companies, this new LSCTC Centre partnership gives us an opportunity to utilize our complementary expertise and resources to create a seamless continuum of support.
Under the De-Risking of Emerging Technologies and Venture Creation funding stream delivered by TIAP, emerging life sciences technologies and early-stage ventures utilizing 5G and advanced networks, blockchain, cybersecurity, ethical artificial intelligence (AI), quantum computing, and/or robotics are eligible to receive up to $200K to be applied to technology development and/or executive advisory support.
